Ok I had to stop enbrell because it wasn't working and because I have been sick nearly the whole time I have been on it. Humira quit working but I didn't get sick as often. Remicade worked and I for sick ALOT however I never canceled an infusion from being sick. My rhuemy was upset that I took enbrel while I was Sick but I didn't know any better. So I am supposed to wait about a month to get well and then start orencia so who knows if I get sick alot on orencia will I have to cancel the infusion every time? If so I'm afraid I will be off meds mire than on. And I'm already feeling this is going to be a very hard month I'm in lots of pain already.

i am sorry for you kimberley. you are going thru a lot. wish i could help you in some way. i have no knowledge about biologics.

but all i can say is HANG IN THERE, REST, GET WELL, AND HOPE FOR THE BEST for orencia. hope it works.

lots of love. pls take care and be peace. everything will be ok. i know its not easy, but try to be peace. enjoy anything thats your favorite. when i dont do good at all, i just grab my baby's pictures and keep looking at them or watch her videos. and then rest for a while.

Can't remember; have you tried methotrexate? It takes while to kick in, but in my case the wait has proved to be worthwhile. Trish

I have been on methotrexate for about 10 tears in combo with remicade Humira and enbrell I will continue it with orencia u also take 5 mg if pred daily. But right now I've had to stop everything but pred. Because I'm so sick. It's gonna be rough.

I've heard over & over it can take time to see which med will work the best for each individual. I really hope the next one works for you.
I totally get the worry involved.
I get sick on enbrel to. Every so many months I have to come off never fails the RA kicks my butt soon as I miss that first injection.
I'm not sure how your doctor reacts but mine has this way of acting like I enjoy being sick. I think it frustrates her. I'm scared to try another med.

My doctor told me to be sure I was on a good multi & calcium with D.
Not sure if your on any or if it would help but thought it was worth mentioning.
My heart goes out to you & those who struggle finding the help they need. It's a disease with so many nasty ailments people do not understand. I some times wonder how much the doctors understand.
We'll think positive the next ones a winner & that this month passes without much pain.

Hi Kimberley, yeah with these biologics the Rheumatologist don't want you to have even the slightest sign of a cold. At least mine doesn't and if you do he will send you home and you have to reschedule. I was on Orencia and did well with it for 2 years until it stopped working for me. I wish you good luck with this drug and for you to be well enough for you to able to receive the medication.
