I have eliminated so much in my diet and am at 80 carbs a day with them coming from vegetables and fruits and some dairy. It took almost an entire month to finally get rid of the processed/sugar craving. I heard it would only be a week or two. I didn't do it for less inflammation, but to lose weight at 1200 cal a day. Well, I feel really good! I'll see where this takes me, but I'm optimistic.
Best regards to you!
Cleaning up my diet was what initially put me in remission. Hope it helps you as well!
BTW been over a year since I've eaten processed sugar on a regular basis - still crave it.. I've read that it creates a dopamine release similar to recreational drug use. So I just joke that I'm a recovering sugar addict :)
Wish there were free SAA meetings like there are AA meetings!
But again - congratulations!
I also started on a biologic and feel like I'm in remission. My Rheumy keeps kidding me that I should do a Cimzia commercial.
Off of it for the moment due to a UTI and bronchitis but will go back on it in a couple weeks.
Wishing you luck a long the way. Less meds the better.
Thank you for sharing.

I did a core/strength class at the Y this morning. A lot of lunges, which I was careful with because I don't want to stress my knees too much.
I am increasing my protein (using supplements but not whey or casien)and using L Glutamine (dr recommended) to keep muscles strong and reduce the stress on joints. Reducing sugar intake as best I can right now.
Hopefully the strength training classes will be a nice additon to the cardio I am already doing.
Keep the faith. Life is good!
Cleaned up diet as well-avoid processed foods/anything with sugar, limiting grains and beans. Lost 12 lbs. Stopped my bp meds because I was getting light headed-at the office today is was 110/70. I am thrilled! Hope that we all find what works!
