I had mine cut off twice. The first time I had it resized but then when my hands swelled again so that ring was tight I had it cut off and it's stayed off because the jewler said you can't keep cutting, resizing, cutting.

I took mine off when hands started to swell. I keep it inside jewelry box so when my fingers go down I can have it resized, as if that is going to happen.

That is the one piece of jewelry the burgulars did not get when they stole all my jewelry 3 years ago.

I think you should make a nice necklace out of the stones.

I am so sorry. That's a bummer but you were wise to get it off your finger.

Oh, I'm so sorry. I've had a few times where just wearing it hurt, but whatever is going on my hinds only swell when I'm flaring.

I agree with Wendy, redesign it as a pendant.

I did, however, switch from my Titanium Band to my white gold band. Just in case my swelling decides to stick around. Esp since my titanium band is 6mm wide and 3 mm thick. Good luck cutting that without cutting me.

Two summers ago I could finally wear my wedding ring again. I was so super excited........ Until I was garage saling and noticed the diamond was gone. I sure hope which ever one I lost it at found it and had a great day!!! Btw, never replaced it. Its either a half k diamond or a trip..... I keep going for the trip!!

I do have a mothers ring with 3 nice diamonds in it that I can wear. I definitely do not wear it to bed. I usually swell up in the night. Don't want to have it cut of!!

I can't wear mine either. If I can get it on in the morning at all then it would not budge by mid day. I put it on a chain around my neck as its a thick & I mean thick gold band. Designed matching bands for my husband & I. My fingers were so small back then, not so much anymore.
Same problem with shoes. May fit one part of the day & not another.
Last night had boots that zip on the side, I pulled one right off my foot & the other I had to unzip. Go figure.
I'm sorry about the ring. Took a look at the picture, what an indention you've got there. Curious to see how long it does take to go away.

I know you needed to do it but it's still such a sad milestone for us. I got mine off before it needed cut but the indents in the finger from the ring are still noticeable a full year later. Go figure!

My ring finger is still so messed up, even after two injections in it on Thursday.

I am going to get my ring resized and I am going to wear it. One day.

Sure am glad you got it off! Ouch! I have not been able to wear my wedding ring for maybe two years. About once a month I try it on. I hope I can get it on again w/o re-sizing.

so sorry you had to go through that, it looks painfull...I thought I was the only one that swelled to the point of not being able to wear their wedding ring...my husbund gets irritable about my not wearing it but it bothers me anymore even when it isent swollen. my son told me to take a water pill to help with the swelling... but I take enough meds , I dont think it would help anyway..I think imflammation is different than water..Right?

Tina, I don't think a water pill will help and it might hurt.

My weddng ring is just a plain 6mm plain gold band. I'm going to buy a new one that is only 4 or 5 mm and sell the old one.
