Just thought that years of MTX and other Dmards messed up my stomach. I take nexium daily. My last endoscopy revealed no inflammation. The other day when I was vomiting my SIL commented that she thought it all went together somehow with my RA.
Blow me down, haveI been missing something? Do I have another autoimmune problem? Do I have Crohns and did not know it. A doctor tried tell me Years ago before I was diagnosed with RA that I had a form of it that is mostly in the upper GI tract rather than the lower.
Contractions of the muscles in the upper GI tract causing vomiting and dry heaves. Does this sound familiar to anyone???
Also on my last visit he told me to take 5 or 10 mg of prednisone before I do something physical rather than to wait till after when I'm hurting from it. Took 5 mg the other day before I did 2 hours of yard work and sure enough, I am OK.
