Hi everyone, i lost my account i got it back. Im so happy to be here. I been having this problem for over a month, my hands have part of its skin that cannot get wet. If i wash dishes it becomes so soft in those areas and it hurts so much, it looks red and dry. I been taking a shower time to time with medical gloves. Washing dishes with yellow gloves.
At first i believed was the dishes soap was too strong. I have another theory that might sound crazy. But i have also one of those dots that converted in a small scar in my pointing finger, the one i use for touching the screen of my phone, and the spots where i hold my cellphone is those that have this injuries. I know it sounds crazy... since i stopped abusing my phone is becoming better but it wont heal completely, i use Nivea smooth sensation daily lotion for dry skin and Nivea creme like 3-4 times a day, thats how i made the skin to grow back :3
* I was abusing my cellphone playing with it for like 1-2 hours everyday for like 3 weeks and watching youtube videos till i fall asleep.
Also speaking with my family everyday for long hours.
I know cant be a fungus because im taking Ketocozanole for a feet problem with my nails. My PcP Appointment is on January and im afraid my doctor will say that every time i feel this or that i go there xD
You guys had any of this or know about this? i hate my cellphone now :(

I have had extremely dry feet, and somewhat on my hands. My dermatologist wrote a prescription for cream made specifically extremely dry skin. She also recommended AmLactin, an over-the-counter lotion that is very good. I get mine at Target. You might have to ask where it is. At my sister's target, in Minneapolis, it is kept behind the pharm. counter, because it is not something that Target normally carries, but something they keep getting asked, by customers, to get for them. At my Target, in northern Mn. it is kept on an end-cap, right by the pharm. department.

A lady who I know who does manicures was telling me when I was complaining about my hands hurting and so dry the cuticles were cracking and peeling told me to keep some sort of lotion at my desk and keep it on my hands because "paper will dry your hands out" and I handle alot of paper everyday. I did not know that...but that's what I have been doing and using a gentle hand scrub/sealer type thing-Satin Hands by Mary Kay at least twice a week to remove the dry skin and hydrate my skin so far they are much better well as far as not being dry...I am sure you can find something like that at a drug store or big box store.

Hi Zoyi, this issue seems to be troublesome. I would try to get an appointment with a dermatologist. Even with the holidays upon us you may be able to obtain an appt. before your PCP appt. in Jan. I don't know that this is a problem specific to your PCP though she or he may be able to give you advice. You may be able to get an appt. with a dermatologist who would be the doctor more specific for this problem. You got good advice about lotioning the hands. It is always good to lotion hands just like you were doing. Good luck with everything and keep us posted.
