I'm still waiting for this supposed "El Nino" to come around? LOL!

El Nino has been here and strong. Here it is the 2nd week of February and no snow at all yet - very strange.....

Whereas the ski basin here, opposite part of the country, has had over 180" of snow fall, and they are reporting a 100" base. A 60" base is considered good skiing.

Snowed Friday(and I shoveled) and then snowed today(and I shoveled) and snow just about everyday this week with a major storm predicted for Friday/Saturday. Then it will be about -15*F on Sunday morning.

No spring here. Just very swollen hands and an Achilles tendon that feels like it's going to rupture.

Weather here in north central Texas has been really strange - 36 one day and then 65 - nights are all about the same - right at 32 - AND no rain.

I hope the spring is gentle to us all

We've had a mild winter here, as well, and the snow has been pretty sparse. I'd hired a snow removal service so I wouldn't have to handle it myself, and I'm really glad they charge per visit, instead of a flat fee. It sure has saved me a lot of money, compared to what I anticipated spending.

Snow or no snow, winter is my least favorite season. I'm rooting for an early spring - the sooner the better!.

We've had a mild winter, as usual, but with lots and lots of snow. The day temperatures are mostly above freezing, and it was very warm on the weekend. I actually got the outside bicycle fired up and went for a short trip. I am so out of shape.

It would be better if I could ski. The mountains around here have huge bases, too. But this is not a good year for me to ski, although I did about 3 years ago.

We left Alberta to get away from the cold, and they really haven't had much cold. When I grew up there, it was long, cold winters. My oldest son is in Yellowknife in the NWT, and he is getting the temperatures we used to get in Alberta. I'm pretty much sure, that is global warming.

But not like Leo DiCaprio thought when he was in Calgary and they had a Chinook. He thought that was global warming, rather than a long time weather phenomena they have frequently in the winter. I do hope someone told him the truth!

We have had a very mild winter in fact we have only had snow once this winter which was only about 1 inch that actually stayed for a day or so. We usually get lots of snow storms with 6 to 8 inches of snow that sticks for weeks. Tonight is to be 13 degrees which will be the coldest it has been since last Feb... and we usually get temps in the minus teens or minus 20s sometimes that last for a week or so at a time. We have been having 40s, 50s, and even 60s this winter strange but been liking it. But still hoping for an early spring.

in new england if you gauge your happiness quotient to the weather you could (if you were a full-time card-carrying curmudgeon) plan to always be miserable.
