Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. Honestly, there is KEEN, then there is everything else. I've got 'em in sandals, hiking boots, and work shoes. They are like being bare-footed, if we were animals. We even put them on our 18 month old, who still stumbles sometimes ... but not in his Keens.
Comfort, 100% comfort. When I started having problems with the synovium in my right foot, I got my first sandals form them. Did 8 days at Disney and did very well in them. The whole thing is formed like your foot.
Ok, I'm gushing. But honestly, (for me) there really isn't anything else.
I particularly like theswanx.com - they do sanita clogs, handpainted - yes a bit pricey but oh so comfortable (and so cute!)

The assistant in the shop was very helpful. She said I have a really narrow foot so that eliminated a few shoes I was looking at.
I didn't realize I had a narrow foot. So that reduces my search down to footwear for narrow feet.
I tried on some Birkenstocks soft bed slides, they seemed ok but a bit wide for me. And some of the Birkenstocks you have to break in and I am not prepared to do that.
The Dansko's in the store had heels and were too clumpy for me.
The shoe I bought is ideal for traveling, airport, airplane, trekking around and just everyday stuff.
I ended up by leaving the store with the shoes on and didn't take them off until bed time.
I am wearing them today as well.
They are comfortable, better than anything I own. they have good support and I like the material.
I like them so much I have ordered another pair in a different colour on line and they cost less. They don't make them in a colour I was looking for, but because the comfort out weighs the cosmetic side of things, I don't care.
I will still check out all the other brands you have all suggested here, because I still need to find sneakers and colder weather shoe, as I have a narrow foot, not all the Keen designs were suitable for me.
So again thanks for all your feedback.
