You know, that ever pesky ex boyfriend or girlfriend. The one that was all awesomesauce, awesomeness, bff sweet heart that you didn't mind stickin around forever. The one that, after a little while, started to get on your nerves. They start to nag, aggravate you, be clingy, don't leave you alone. they had the worse habits that made you cringe. And after some time when you finally stand up for yourself and decide to walk, they cling to you like a leech. They threaten you with constant phone calls or texts. They pretend you didn't say goodbye. They won't leave your doorstep.

ok ok. I bragged like a dummy (prior post). I went from 10-5 mg easy peasy. Easy as pie. Then after about 9 days, today, I attempted a drop from 5 mg -2 1/2 mg. Took Thursday night's delay release (for Friday) 10 mg, skipped Friday night's (for today), and took a left over regular 2 1/2 mg this morning.
Uh. Didn't work. Terrible. Not only ra inflamed astronomically, but leg pain from ankle to knee right leg, withdrawl I suspect. It was like my childhood growing pains. Terrible. Exhausted. Stomach pain later in the afternoon. It got so bad, come noon thirty I took another 5 mg, total of 7.5 for the day.
2 hours later, praise all holy in heaven, I felt better.
Prednisone is truly like the crappy ex you/i struggled to run from all those yrs ago lol!
That's what I learned from today. Happy sleeping tonight! Although now I'm more wired than usual from that noon thirty dose.....

I'm currently two-timing him with Orencia. When/if the Orencia kicks in, bye-bye pred!
Lion, the one time I tried to dump him, my rheumy told me to go down by 1mg per month. I ended up dumping the rheumy instead, figuring he was doing me more harm than Preddy was. Now, that's bad!
My PCP told me that she has a number of patients who have been on 1mg for years and years.
OT: Ros, tell us about the name change!
Love the way you posted this... thought you were talking about a real person at first! I did NOT like me while on prednisone, so I would have to be in bed unable to move before taking it again.
