Ok, so I have taken pictures last night and tonight of my swelling for my PCP I'm going to see this week. I wasn't expecting it to show, but WOW it really does!!! Every joint is swollen tonight, so lots of pictures.

Oh, and guess what!!! West Nile has been confirmed in my neighborhood with this weeks tests! So not great.

Oh no Krim, what next. Have you tried some heat for the joints? You must be so uncomfortable. My thoughts are with you and hope tomorrow morning brings you a brighter day. Geez and you certainly don't need West Nile disease. ugh..

yeah we have problems with west nile here too, if you are out for more than a few minutes put on some bug spray :P

Stay away from the mosquitos ....
i was listening to the radio and they were talking about lymes disease as well ..all not good this time of year ...to bad they didnt have something like flea medicine for people :)

West Nile here, too, as well as ticks. I was actually tested for Lyme Disease leading up to my diagnosis for RA. A lot of similar symptoms, apparently. It's been a really bad year for mosquitos.
Hope the pictures help at your appointment. One more day, right?

Thanks all for your comments. I also heated up last night and it helped a great deal! I compared my "not getting out of bed" joints with the ones taken last night and the difference was staggering. I hadn't realized how fat my toes got!

They all still hurt a great deal but until I started moving, the swelling wasn't so bad.

I see from your profile you're from the Quad Cities. I grew up in Iowa, so have driven through there many times. Yeah, watch the mosquitos. West Nile is a problem NO ONE needs.

I'm curios to see what your doc says about those pictures.
Mine sure took a second look. I took them from couple angles.
I keep them just to compare later on.

Labs do not tell all.
West Nile? Scary scary stuff.
My husband freaks out with my grand baby. He's my first & well we are a bit protective. You don't know anymore.
Things seem to be so much more complicated vs when I grew up.
Let us know what your doc has to say. Glad you took them.
