I had it done to my wrist, yes it did help.

A few other questions - was it outpatient? Regional anesthetic?

I'm still trying to get into an orthopedic surgeon to see if synovectomy is an option.

It was outpatient but they knocked me out, not regional anesthetic. It was done on my wrist, I had carpal tunnel surgery and the synovectomy at the same time.

Yes, The middle finger of left hand, right knee, and right wrist. All were very succesfull. The hardest rehab by far was the finger.

I ment to add that the knee rehab was very easy. I was able to walk up and down stairs taking a step with each foot 2 weeks after the surgery. I had not been able to do that for years. Mine was done at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida

Had half a dozen on my hands and they helped DELAY joint replacement. BUT, that was before i was on BIOLOGICALS to stop the progression. If you have it now and are on a biological it very likely could prevent joint replacement which would be a very good thing.

I would imagine it would be done arthoscopically which ususally can be in and out and has a WAY shorter recovery period. Ask the surgeon.
