I am going to be on my 4th week of Methotrexate treatment. The first 2 weeks were pills, but I have switched to injection as of this week. Has anyone else noticed a sore throat after their dose? I didn't really figure this out until after this week's dose...but I am noticing that the night after I take my Methotrexate, I develop a sore throat...to the point where it hurts to swallow...and it lasts a good 3 days. I was wondering if anyone else has had similar symptoms?

Mtx is so toxic. It made me vomit for the days. I couldn't take it and raise my son.. So now I'm on arava... Which is equally as toxic but without the intense nauseousness

I do get a sore throat too. But the headaches are the most irritating. The sore throat is gone in a day or so. The headaches are almost constant. I took my 4th injection last night. But after taking the pills for almost a yr I don't have the same nausea with the injections.

MTX caused me to have terrible sore throats and stomach aches so much so I went to an ENT to be treated for a very long time, of course I dont take it now, but that was the pills, I never took the shots.

I did talk to the Rheum about the sore throat - her advice was to bump my Folic acid up to 2 mg (instead of 1mg) and see if that improves things. So far, so good....lets hope it continues.

My 6mo twin DD's are EBF and just started rice cereal on the first. Everything has been going fine except this morning one of them had a diaper rash (lots of redness around her anus).
