SOCAL Rain & RA!!

Hey I know for a lot of you across the country this is no big deal but it finally rained here in Southern California & I'm curious to those who live in here, especialy SOCAL did you or do you feel any RA differences?


I'm starting to believe I do feel a slight tenderness & tightness in my ankles & right hand but it's very subtle. Could it be the rain/barometer? Who knows, but it's nice to compare notes I guess.

I'm in southern CA and indeed we had a downpour yesterday. My joints were screaming [starting on Sunday].

But I have to tell you......I don't believe this is RA. I believe it is OA because friends without RA, but who do have OA, were complaining as I was.

If you have RA.......and you have pain when it rains [assuming you have not been RA-flaring], consider that you might also have OA.

OA is VERY common, especially as we age.

Yeah it's a possibility. But I have been experiencing a light flare as well as my wife going through a nasty cold which I may caught myself so all that could be added onto

Very possible......I started to flare last Saturday. I was very worried that I might be failing on Meds. I am doing better today, but I hear it may rain again soon. I know we need the rain, but can't the weather just leave me alone?

I lived in Vancouver BC when I first got RA and it rained constantly for 5 months. There was no difference for me at all. Now I live in the interior, which is hot and dry. I can never tell when rain is coming. I have a lot of OA now, but it doesn't set off any warning bells.

I have RA and live in PA. It was a hot summer and I was miserable. I am weird in that I feel MUCH better when it's rainy. My Rheumy says I'm unusual. My friend said I need to move to England.
