Lost my voice again right after irencia infusion. I'm not sure how it's related but I know it is. I think somehow it effects my vocal nodule. That was about 2 weeks ago going to the dr tomrw becuz I may have the flu or very least bronchitis again!!! Struggling with anemia and continued potasium deficiency I think some how the meds are effecting that too like I can't sbsorb or retain? This has been a long year I sure hope next year is better even tho I know I'm facing several more surgeries next year. Forget seeing the light at the end of the tunnel is just like to think ther will be an end of the tunnel. Praying for you all. blessings!
Hadnt seen you around the board in a while. I was hoping you were out there somewhere doing well after getting your loose screw fixed. Id say no voice is extremely frustrating at the least. You come off as one of the toughest people ive ever seen and always seem to have a positive attitude despite your situation. Hope you get that krud kicked out the door and get to feeling better soon.
Kimberly97 - I think we know when things are connected like your vocal cord. Get the Tamiflu going to if you have the flu. It can make a huge difference if you catch it fast enough!

I used the Orencia self-inject syringes without a problem but they didn't do much to control my RA.
Next biologic was Actemra infusions and I had exactly the problem you have posted here. I lost my voice completely for 3 weeks in Dec/Jan, 2013, could not talk over Christmas/New Year. Then I had staph infections which took months of antibiotics to clear
I really feel that Actemra lowered my crp and esr to normal levels for the first time in 5 years but then knocked my immune system completely out.
I had to stop Actemra and Methotrexate for surgery in September and just gone back onto MTX and Rituxin infusion, every six months.
I am tired of being me, too, Kimberley. I know exactly how you feel.
gosh this scares me. i keep thinking of the pneumonia and oxygen at home last winter early spring. then i think of the methotrexate lung complications I had and pneumonia admissions. then I think about how orencia really is not controlling my RA that great but a least my lungs are functioning on it. i think of all the lung infecions on enbrel and humira and methotrexate and i do not want budge from orencia because I am terrified and grateful not to be sick in my lungs albeit with an RA that is not controlled that well.
I wan to hug you all and empathize about having to make these crappy choices.
