Maybe some ibuprofen if you can take nsaids & some heat or ice (whichever works best for you). And make yourself as comfortable as possible and get lots of rest. Sounds like you'll be pretty sore tomorrow, like you're not enough already right ;-) Hopefully the Pred will kick in and help a bit. Have a better night!
Hoping tomorrow won't be too bad since I took my 2nd Pred dose tonight.
Hope you heal quickly.
I hope you're feeling better each day..
Oh my gosh! I don't think my poor hips or knees could handle that. I'm so sorry that you fell. That durn ice. I hate the cold weather for more than one reason.
The timing of the Prednisone couldn't be better. Remember: ice for the first 24 hours for bumps and swelling from accidents like that (the irony of it all).
I sure hope you're feeling better soon!
Be well,
TheWino
Very sorry to hear about your fall-hope you feel better..guess you could tease your husband and tell him you did it on purpose to get waited on hand and foot :)
I hadn't even seen the ice... It blended in so well with the asphalt and the crazy part was, I was already walking VERY slowly with weight on the cart because I was already dealing with knee pain in the OTHER knee!
The good news is... The Prednisone seems to be helping A LOT. That, and I added some around the clock Ibuprofen doses to my regular meds.
Took a hot shower this morning which seemed to help as well. I got REALLY lucky it didn't cause more damage/pain! I did everything I could to hold back the tears as I limped to the car and loaded my groceries.... As soon as I got the door closed and pulled out of the parking lot, I lost all control and started crying!
Glad today has been MUCH better than anticipated, all things considered!
