well, there was a flustercuck with the insurance and whatever and they won't give me more until 12/12. for some reason. i don't know why.
dh suggested skipping this week's dose for multiple reasons. 1 - i have just finished a round of ALL OF THE ANTIBIOTICS to fight that lovely cellulitis i developed. (there is one little icky gooey yuck spot that i'm considering slathering in antibiotic ointment. ew.) 2 - the mtx didn't seem to be helping *at all*.
his idea was that if i skip a week and feel better, maybe the mtx is more trouble than it's worth. my cousin stopped taking it for that reason.
so i forgot to take my pills over the weekend. and so far - well, i'm not sure. i'm not less fatigued. i think my most involved joints are more swollen (wrists and fingers). it seems like the mtx was helping a bit - i just didn't notice it.
i'm considering not taking it next week either - i figure i should give my body a week of 'normal' immunity to make sure the cellulitis heals up and whatever is a good idea. i spoke to my rheumy about the cellulitis and she said if it seems to be clearing up with the antibiotics to just let it go. i see her in two weeks anyway.

i think it's been an interesting experiment. i woke up this morning with my shoulders in so much pain. i think all signs point to the mtx was helping a little - just not enough. my rheumy was surprised at how much more swelling i had at my last appointment.
