Shoulder Replacement

I was told the joints in my shoulders is completely gone. Has anyone had shoulder replacement. If so, some details please. Thanks!

I haven't but wanted to send hugs. Are they completely immobile? Good luck with your research.

I haven't had it done, but know a couple of people who have. Neither one had RA, though.

It seems to be very major surgery with a long recovery time, but worth it in the end. Can your orthopedic surgeon give you the names of a couple of people to talk to who have had it done? It's nowhere near as common as knee or hip replacement, so you probably don't have a neighbor, cousin, and co-worker who have had this surgery.

I was going have a shoulder replacement 1year ago. When I spoke to the Dr the last time before surgery he said ,make sure you can not live with the pain anymore. Those words. Are still on my mine and I have not had the surgery.Anyone you speak too will tell you it is a difficulty surgery. Make sure you can not handle it anymore. Good luck
