OK....this is weird! I posted something about this yesterday and now it's no where to be found! Well, I'm going to try this again.....I started using Remicade in September. I had 2 doses and began having leg cramps at night so I thought it was that I wasn't drinking enough water. Well, I got sick the next week for 2 weeks and missed my other dose of Remicade until last week. After about 10 minutes of the infusion I had to stand up because my toes were so cramped and bent backwards I had to stand up to straighten them out. It let up after awhile but the next night I woke up in severe pain in my leg with a cramp that made me want to scream! I ended up at abut 3:30 and had a hard time going back to sleep because it would come and go. I'm calling my Doctor today but has anyone else had these. It's so painful!!!
I don't know anything about the side effects of Remicade sorry. Could it be a potassium deficiency? I think bananas are loaded with potassium. Take care
You should notify your rheumatologist that you are experiencing this side effect.
NCGranny62....well at least I know it may be from the Remicade. My muscle cramps are extremely painful and they don't go away right away. It feels like someone is trying to rip my muscle out of me leg! I know that sounds horrid but it's true. I called my Dr this morning and waiting to hear back.
