Hey kids. I have found an addictive toy. Now that my hands are mostly under control I have discovered Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty. It's like silly putty on acid, and it's a large amount. It's also softer than old school silly putty. A month ago I would not have been able to get the top off the can it comes in, and there was no way I could knead it. But now, I can tell how bad my hands have gotten. I work with the putty, and my hands get tired, but I can tell they are improving. It's also VERY visually pleasing. I bought some from ebay (free shipping) and Walmart also ships free to store. It's also great stress relief. I bought the "Super Scarab" and "Super Oil Slick." Take a ganders... there's also a store website.

Do your hands ever hurt after you use the putty, or are they just tired? My right hand is my bad hand, and I'm afraid of overdoing it.

I'd almost forgotten that my husband used a couple of different putties (one softer and one firmer) when he rehabbed his hand after he broke it years ago. It really helped him get his strength and flexibility back.

There was one year where I saw more of my hand therapist than my husband or kids. She had a few tubs of putty in different degrees of firmness. One tub had marbles, coins, washers, etc., worked into it for a little texture or a hide-and-seek feature. You can feel a difference, Confoosed?

Hey Deb. I have four tins, one is the green glow in the dark. It's preeettyyyy. ;-D In the beginning my hands hurt and tired quickly. Eventually something will protest - like a finger joint or my thumbs. When anything starts to hurt/tire, I stop. I'm afraid of overdoing it too.

I can feel a bit of a difference Alto. My hands do not seem to ache as much.

I bought some of the "illusions" colors and they are visually so relaxing. It really is good for stress relief.

I bought the tins. Now that I know what I like I will probably buy the lbs in the future, My co-workers love the stuff too, so I MIGHT share with them.

Growing up, I always enjoyed playing with legos and it's a trait that stayed with me until adulthood. Lately, I've been deconstructing and reconstructing some of the kits I have as therapy for my hands and fingers and I certainly feel a difference.
