Ok get aload of this! I had a recliner and it was the only place I could get relief sometimes. However, after years of my sleeping in it, it finally bit the dust . So yesterday I find a recliner and it happens to be the match to my couch. They just delivered it about an hour ago. I don't know if any of you are bothered with this but I can't take anything firm touching the side of my hips. This new recliner was firm and narrow and touched both sides. I didn't notice it at the store. Within 15 minutes of me sitting in it my rls kicked in and every ounce of my being was in orbit. (the only way I know to describe it) We got our taxes back Friday so my husband has gone to buy a recliner I seen before this one. It was huge and soft. He is too good to
me : ) This is just another pain in the butt with these diseases, literally.lol Now about the walkers. Those of you that use one as needed, were you prescribed it by a doctor or get one because you needed it? The reason I ask is because when I went to disability court my lawyer didn't even want me to use mine from the waiting room to the private room we met in before going in the court room. All because the doctor did not prescribe it. However, our disability court is held on an upper level of an open building that you have to travel across concreted gravel and pebble rock concreted so by the time I got to the inside my shoulders,hips and arms were burning sooo bad I begged him to let me use it. I was finally on smooth carpet. Once we got to the private room he told me that because a doctor did not tell me to get a walker it would look like I was trying to pull something over on him. I told him it was a gift from my nephew because he knew I was having troubles. I was wondering if I am normal for not waiting for a doctor to tell me I need one. I also use motorized buggies without the advice of a doctor. I do want a cane because I don"t always want to take my walker. The ones with a seat is the only way to go. Waiting in lines can kill you without the seat.
