RA Nodules

What do RA Nodules feel like.? Are they hard, painful, or fluid?

Mine have always been hard, but not rigid! I've only had them on my fingers and face. And I get horrible ones on my face, if I am not on a biologic that stops them. Rituxan was really good, but mthx also works. I've been back on mthx for over a year, and the face ones are finally gone. But, of the 3 on my index finger pad, the smallest disappeared right away after going on mthx, the other 2 look like they are going to need surgery. If it is even possible without damaging the nerves in the end of my finger tip. I play flute, I really need to be able to feel a bit.

Oh, there was one on my little finger, and it disappeared with mthx, too! I think that one was because of wearing the oval 8 ring, to try and keep the finger from deforming.

I have one on my elbow, mostly okay unless I rest on my elbow and it lets me know its there. I have a couple on the bottom of my foot, feels like marbles, and I have to be super careful of what shoes I put on if I am going to wear them for any length of time. Mine are like a hard pea right under the skin. I do take MTX every week, so I guess they could be worse.
