How very true, all of it.
Patients should take this to the doctors.
How many of us complain about these very subjects?
Feel like saying to my doctor get with the program.
Just said on a discussion bloodwork should be part of diagnostic testing not the determine factor.
Love the one about swelling.
How many patients go in & hear hands look good your doing fine.
Makes me see red.

Thanks so much.

This is the kind of thing I wish I could forward to all my friends and family. I think this is one of the most misunderstood diseases out there.
When I see articles about people who are running marathons and triatholons (sp?) saying that they are "not gonna let the RA get them down" it always makes me feel like a pile of crap. Sorry for the gross term, but, well, it fits.
And I think "they do not have the RA that I have." I mean, yay for them and all - but, it's just....I suffer from huge flares after even mild jaunts. Like taking my daughter to the library the other day. I used the stairs b/c hey, my hips are good now - but then the next day I was in pain from head to toe.
And I rarely have swelling (my fingers get sausage like sometimes, but I don't know if it's from eating too much salt or the RA - but I digress).
Anyway, just blathering on. This article really hits the nail on the head. Thanks again for sharing!
