Does anyone else have RA affecting their eyes? This started for me about 5 years ago. I finally found an opthamolgist who could help me. I lost most of my vision in the right eye. After he got the swelling under control I finally had surgery to remove a cataract, twice. I take prednisolone (steroid) for the swelling and timolol maleate for the pressure.

It is another autoimmune disease like RA and they can travel together. SS attacks all the moisture producing glands in the body reducing moisture levels. I know that I have to have my eyes checked more often so that I can keep my eyes healthy.
I will have to check with the dr to make sure whether the pain and pressure I get in my eyes from time to time is the migraine I think it is rather than something more serious. Thanks for bringing this up...hugs jilly
