Ironically, one of my husband's life long friends discussed the gin and golden raisin 'cure' for swollen knees and joint pain. In fact, he even swore by it and claimed he'd had fluid pulled off his knees annually - until his grandma told him about this 'family cure'.

Heard it all.
The thing that stuns me is some people actually get upset that you won't try their "cure".
They do not live in these bodies that cause so much misery yet think we should buck it up & suffer to try the latest & greatest.
Never ceases to amaze me.
I recently told someone if all these things worked none of us would have the need to spend a small fortune on meds we do not want to take.
Use common sense for goodness sakes.

This past weekend I must have been told 'cures' by at least 5 of my colleagues ( I am newly diagnosed the end of May and this was my first time around many of them).

I nicely told them that there is no cure and that people may have gotten symptom relief and I was very happy for them if they did, but right now I am following my Drs plan along with a healthy diet and hoping for the best ( remission!)

Well, if she would just go pet a short-haired dog she wouldn't be having these problems, now would she?
