Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. Oh the ups and downs of RA!!! I understand completely.
For me, weather can bring on flares. Stress can do it also. But, sometimes it is just the disease process itself.
I find that I have to have plan B for just about everything in case I wake up feeling horrible. I have learned to be very flexible with my schedule due to RA.
If it is a bad flare, you could ask your doctor for a short prednisone taper. I have done that in the past. Other times, I just rest and treat the symptoms as best I can. If they do not improve though, you should talk with your doctor and make sure that you are on the proper meds to hopefully limit such flares.
I am sorry you are feeling poorly - better days ahead hopefully.
Hugs,
Linda
"Life was going okay had my normal discomfort but tolerable." I could have said this myself.
I am newly diagnosed and I swear, one day you think this is nothing, I feel good then BAM! Last couple of days I wake up and my knees hurt and my hands are worse. I think the weather getting colder is a factor for me.
My husband came out to the kitchen this morning to almost find me in tears as I was trying to pull out the Keruig holder to put in the piece that holds your own coffee, I could not pull it out. First time ever in my life and it hit me hard.
It's amazing at how this disease can make you feel. (((hugs))) hope you get some relief.
