So I've been trying to change to eating unprocessed and healthier foods, but last night caved in to the craving and ate a piece of pumpkin cheesecake, and it tasted soooo good, but gave me a terrible night. It had me curled up in pain in bed feeling like my stomach was going to pop and my whole body feeling like it was on fire and all of my joints throbbing. That went on for several hours. I was in so much pain I couldn't muster the will to move and get pain killers. I had eaten some of this cheesecake before, but it's been a while, and this was the first time since I've cleaned up my diet. Won't do that again!!!!!! Definitely in my top 3 worst nights ever!!!!

Thanks Ros. I don't know if it was the milk or the unpronounceable ingredients. I think after the holidays I'm going to do the elimination diet and once and for all identify exactly what doesn't agree with my body.

i'm very curious as to what was in the cheesecake. a lot of those unpronounceable ingredients may seem benign, but aren't. on the other hand, most of them don't bother anyone.

I ate some of my husbands barbeque chips ...sooo good ..and poof ..hands swelled ..feet and i fetl like crap ..this is a magical (as in odd )
disease .POOF and BAM ..and SURPRISES all the time !

i pay like megabucks for substitution almond ice cream almonds soaked in water and then whipped up with air. either that or try whipping frozen bananas with some other flavoring and then pretending that it is cheesecake. :)

fresh made cheesecake shouldn't be too bad, cream cheese, eggs some sugar... and can even be made low carb.....

If dairy doesn't prove to be problematic, PM me as I have an excellent pumpkin cheesecake recipe. It isn't that hard, but you do need a springform pan. Before I quit dairy I made 1-2 every year. HEAVEN!!!!
