Has anybody had experience with this vaccine? It is a "combo" pneumococcal pneumonia vaccine for 13 Streptococcus pneumoniae strains. My rheumatologisy recommended it to me yesterday, and I'd ike to hear first-hand reports, if possible.

I just had the Prevnar 13 vaccination. I've had other pneumococcal vacinations before, but never knew about any covering 23 strains. My pharmacist said I would have to wait a year before taking any other similar vaccine.

51percent, Medicare is covering the Prevnar 13 vaccine, under Part B. Maybe this fits into the Obamacare preventive health care provisions.

- found that on the Prevnar site. So it must depend on which can of medication you are taking? I've been told I can't take a live vaccine. I'm currently taking Xeljanz.
