I have been feeling pretty good as far as my RA goes and am at 35 1/2 weeks now with my pregnancy. I have another condition called pubic symphysis dysfunction (which I had with my last preg as well) that I have been going to PT for. It causes hip and pelvic pain. Some days I am ok, other days I can barely walk. I am planned for C-section because of the severity of the condition. My husband and I are trying to plan for my maternity leave from work. In the planning process, I have made references that we need to keep in mind that we are not sure how my RA will be postpartum and I want to plan to take it easy. He told me he is sick of me mentioning RA. I explained that I have to factor it in when making plans. he told me that I don't, what is there to plan, if I have to take different medicine then so what. I told him he lacks understanding and needs to come to the doctors with me more often.
He is a good husband overall, but when he says things like that it just makes me feel lonely and scared because of the lack of support.

OA cripples.
RA kills.
Makes it real simple for others to understand. And I have lost a family member to RA. Developed pleural fibrosis that caused her lungs to stop moving so she could not breathe. And it's why we take drugs that can kill us(the biologics). Docs don't give potentially fatal drugs if you don't have a potentially fatal disease process.....most don't know that.
You need to plan to stay healthy for that new baby and he needs to recognize that this can kill you if you don't take it seriously.
