I understand that, if the new and improved medications were advertised as mediocre, they probably wouldn't sell as much of them but wish the FDA would do more to enforce truth in advertising when it comes to medications.
It's also interesting to read on this RA board that, often, rheumies ask patients which med or biologic they would like. That doesn't happen here, either. The Rheumatologist makes the decision.
I am so pleased that there is no adverti8sing of RA meds. I can just imagine people telling me, " That XXXXX that's on TV would get rid of your RA in no time."

Yes, you can still have a full life - but with new limitations.
I do have moderate to severe RA and the biologics have restored my normal daily activities with slight modifications. The only thing I can't do any longer is run but at 51 that's okay with me.
I wish they didn't advertise any prescription meds at all but hey the drug companies need to make their money I guess. sigh

Y'all think about the number of ads for these and/or any drugs you see on tv, the cost of each is extremely high to produce and then to air.....then think about the cost of our drugs. oh yeah.
