It may be wise to wait until you have a baby before starting the LDN and not being on the Methotrexate for sure.

I still can not have children until you can handle and I think LDN therapy offers hope for remission. I'm not exactly in remission with these drugs because I'm afraid if I stop activates rheumatoid arthritis. But all other drugs more toxic and harmful. There is no financial capacity to try others. LDN believe if someone tried that it enables came into remission and even stop taking any medication, even LDN. Then you can have a baby. Without risk but not now. Please email and your opinion on my problem.
I began with LDN in March, 2010. I started with 1/2 mg of LDN. Each month I increased by 1/2 mg and now it is almost the end of July and I am currently at 2 mg. Next month in August I will be taking 2.5 mg of LDN.
I have done well, there are no problems. I feel good with it so far and hope that I find out where I feel my best between the 3 mg and 4.5 mg of LDN per day soon in the next few months.
The only negative experience I have had with the LDN at the start of it back in March was the slight diarrhea. It went away after a few days. I have not experienced any problems with not sleeping well on this drug as some people have reported.
My doctor and I went slow with this medicine because I have problems with sensitivity issues with so many drugs I have tried for my health problems.
I have also found that taking at 2 mg per day, I am able to take less Ibuprofen some of the time. For an example, I usually take about 900 mg of Ibuprofen per day, I can now take 600 mg per day for some of my better days.

I was stuck at 5mg for a couple of years. During this time I came off methotrexate. If you are cutting out your drugs I think you should start with cutting back the prednisone first. I came down from 5 mg to zero in the same way but had a lot of painful days which gradually settled after each drop. People here told me this would happen and I am glateful they warned me or I would have given up.
If you come off mtx I hope you can get the LDN. I hope you will get support from the doctors. It will be hard without any drugs and mmztcass is right about waiting at least three months after methotrexate before getting pregnant. Good luck.
