Yep, was on it for 8 yrs and just went off of it in Nov... It was helping a lot but it was starting to effect my eyesight so I am now off of it.. I can tell the difference.. it helps with the swelling inflamation...

yes, been on it 1 and a half yrs...it helps but not alone, for me anyway.. Im gonna ask Rheumy thursday about starting Ldn and naltrexone. how are you doing on Ldn ? Thanks Tina

I've been on it for 5 months. I don't have an official diagnosis, it's been suggested that I have Lupus/Sjogren's/Psoriatic Arthritis/RA, but who knows.

Anyway, in the past 4-6 weeks I've definitely started to notice some improvement. My joints are a lot better, I'm not as fatigued and my mouth and nose ulcers have almost disappeared.

They say it takes 3-6 months to notice a difference and 12 months for the full effect. The biggest side effect is the effect it has on your eyes. It's a very rare side effect where the medication builds up in the eyes. They monitor your eyes every 12 months or so. It's completely reversible once you stop the medication.

When I first started taking it, I felt pretty terrible. I was nauseous and dizzy. It only lasted a week or so. I just made sure I split the dose (200mg in the morning, 200mg at night). Always take it with food.

Plaquenil worked well for me, especially for fatigue. I had to stop taking it becasue I became allergic to the med.

I've been on it for 6 months. Was holding my own until a couple weeks ago. Seemed to work pretty good. It's still ok I just use Ibuprofen to help it out a little. For me it has been the best tolerated med i've tried.

just about to start plaquenil and in 6 weeks go back to the rheumy and he may add another drug to it we will see.
have to go to the eye doctor first and get my eyes checked out. I already have dry eye from the RA.
