I know when I was no Mobic, Celebrex, even Ibuproven. That my Blood P went up sky high especially on Mobic and Celebrex. Prednisone can cause it too. What Meds are you taking?

I eat a banana or 2 every day. It helps with the BP.

My husband gets a high pulse rate often. Some times it is a sign of infection for him or dehydration. He gets 110 often. The doctors have given him IV fluids until his plus rate goes down. He has very low BP and does not need meds.

I am on BP meds. My pulse is 60 on meds and 80 off meds.

My blood pressure is always good 120's over low 80's just this pulse rate seems high. Well, I know I never drink enough water, i hate it, plain and even flavored I feel like I am drowning and filling up to the neck. I have been on these meds (mobic and sulfadine for 3 mo. now) guess I will try more water.

I also have had problems with a high pulse and palpitations since I was 15 on and off. It is almost always harmless, because you can have a normal healthy functioning heart yet have a high pulse. Arrythmias can be scary if they get too high but around 100 is a safe level. I went to a cardiologist about it and got and stress test, EKG, holter monitor and everything was fine.

It can be the Mobic because if you are already prone to a fast heart rate medications will ignite it. If you can try getting off of the Mobic and see if it improves. Another thing that helped me is to cut out all caffiene out of your diet. If it continues though I would see someone about it.
