LOL Sally.....at least it's not just me.
Hey Bluedog.....You live by my Dad then! LOL
So....this is what happened. Seems the infamous medical group is the problem. When I was prescribed MTX by way of injection I was given the prescription as a "courtesy" per my daughter who happens to be in the medical field. In fact, this certain Medical Group called her at her place of employment and asked her if she would work for them. HECK NO she said.
At that time the doctor/staff should have requested prior authorization to continue use for the duration of my health plan. It's considered a PA drug and a Tier 5 or whatever you call it drug. Most likely due to using syringes. Don't need PA for oral! So someone in their office was incompetent! AND this has happened before with this staff. Blood work not called in, X-rays not requested, next appointments not made. So what this tells me is from now on I have to be proactive and IN THEIR FACE! Grrrrr.
Example of a good doctor and staff.....My psychiatrist. He is NOT in that group but he takes my health plan. He has his own practice. When I needed my Vyvanse changed due to taking one pill to two a day he got a PA same day as I take the drug everyday. That is a good doctor and staff. Never had an issue with his office,
Today I have a routine appointment with my PCP (first time I see a doctor in years) always seen a PA. I hope she's a good one. Same medical group but different location.
So what I've read is if I miss a does I can take it next day (today) any longer and I have to wait until next Tuesday. What nimrods.
