Just wanted to share that the MTX was iincreased to 7 2.5 mg weekly, folic acid and 1 week of prednisone and I feel sooooo much better. I still have an appt. with the new rheumy for thurs. (after 6 months) waiting. But am really happy about how i feel now. There is hope. The right cocktail. Hopefully my bloodwork supports this. Love to all
And get off the prednisone before you gain weight, get severe osteoporosis and bone necrosis. (bone death) or mood swings. Not to rain on your parade, just been there, done that. (cousin with 3 dead vertebra from prednisone, 4 stomach ulcers for me on that combo and about 10 years sort of recovery and such radical mood swings I was diagnosed bipolar). The biologics are the best if your insurance will pay for it.
