Rheumatoid Arthritis Support Group
Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic, inflammatory, multisystem, autoimmune disorder. It is a disabling and painful condition which can lead to substantial loss of mobility due to pain and joint destruction. The disease is also systemic in that it often also affects many extra-articular tissues throughout the body including the skin, blood vessels, heart, lungs, and...

I have also gotten anti-depressants/anti-anxiety meds since my RA dx. Depression and RA occur together about 95% of the time. I didn't work with my rheumy on this-- my PCP took care of the initial dx, and I now have a psych team who work with me.
It could be other things too. Don't ignore it and hope it will go away. Talk to your doc (rheumy or PCP) and get some assistance.
Hang in there!

Look at all you are dealing with. It's no wonder you get moody, etc. RA is a life-changing disease. Sometimes we need help getting through all the changes. Please talk with your physician about this. And please post regularly and let us know how you are feeling.
We care about you.
Hugs and best wishes.
I just started cymbalta .. the down days were so hard that I decided i needed the help. At 30mg it was uplifting. At 60mg now...I am freaking out.. not sleeping well and very high anxiety. On the plus side,,, don't think I could cry if I tried... and it definitely helped with that morning stiffness/pain.. I can actually walk down the steps like a normal person now. Not pain free...put took the edge off it. But the temperature swings are still there.... the RA still has its way with me.
I didn't notice any change in moodiness the brief time I was on Enbrel. I find the weather and the RA changes my mood.
Hope you feel better soon!
