I know that it common for many of us to have increased pain at night. I was thinking that it was brought on by decreased movement once we get into bed. Now I am doubting this theory. I have found that I can feel achy all over in the evenings but it is tolerable for the most part, until I go to bed. Last night, for example, I was doing reasonably well until I went to bed. Then everything ached more and I started getting these stabbing pains in my groin/hip. I would lay there trying to go to sleep and then all of a sudden get a stabbing pain like someone stuck a really long needle into by goin and hip joint. The pain was severe enough I would actually jump. I had to get up and take some Tramadol and wait for it to take effect until I could go back to bed.

So my question is why do you all think this is? I find that is random. I don't like to take the Tramadol unless I really need to but I hate having to get up and wait for it to kick. This makes for some short nights on work nights sometimes and that just set me up for more pain and fatigue. How do you deal with it?
