I have no side affects for taking it, I know it can play havic on the liver, I go for my first blood tests in 2 weeks, I'm being careful in the sun.. But still out there When we have it shinning here, I'm just wondering Do I have to be on this now for the rest of my life, to keep it under conrol? or maybe They can try something that isn't so invasive on the body for the future?
I hope that a different drug with fewer side effects will be developed at some point. For right now, though, MTX is the gold standard of the DMARDs and the one drug we all love to hate.
I just increased it and will be starting Enbrel or Humira in a few weeks.
