I have fibrosis (scarring) in my lungs ("interstitial lung disease" - the catch-all term for pulmonary disease). Definitely related to the RA.

I believe honeycombing is consistent with pulmonary fibrosis -secondary to RA (and things like scerloderma as well).

Do you see a pulmonologist? If not, you need to (in my humble opinion). They can perform regular pulmonary function tests and chest CT scans to make sure it is not progressing.

I have seen one. He put me on an enhailer and will do another CT and lung test on three months. I just want it to disappear with the warm weather. Lol

I have honeycombing and nodules in my lungs. My pulmonologist works with my rheumatologist and they coordinate my treatment. My pulmonologist does research on lungs and RA. Even with his specialty in this area no one is sure how connected these things are. Sometimes my cough goes on and on to the point where i have to take steroids to get it to stop. A by product is the benefits to my joints too. Good luck. My best advice to to try to get your two specialists to work together for you.
