About a week or so ago, the bottom of my feet and maybe the sides started to hurt really bad, espcially in the morning when I wake up... I can hardly walk..... they only hurt when I put pressure on them and when I flex my feet.

Also around this same time, my kees have started to hurt really bad... sometimes it's the front of my knees and sometimes it's the back of my knees, which I find really strange.

Since I was diagnosed with RA (in December 2010) it seems my whole body is slowly but surely going nuts.... so of course, with every new symptom or quircky thing that happens to me, I'm online researching it to death.... now i'm like do i have deep vein thrombosis.. diabetes.. or some other freaky thing not yet discovered. :)

I appreciate any insight you guys could provide.....

PS. Just got back from seeing The Help... good movie!

hi JC, i also have pain in my feet. it is common to have the morning stiff and many joints in the morning..and it's with RA that the inflamation and pain can be in various joints thru out the body on one day and totlally different the next day.RA is so uniquely different in each person. however we have similar symtoms also which may affect us all but some being mild and others being severe..it is easy to research something online and be infear of it happening to you. just stay in good communication with your dr and telling him all your symtoms so he can do the best treatment .

Hi! Oh your so young! I'm an older RA but was diagnosed about a year and a half ago. My feet and ankles hurt like that too sometimes. I've been through most of the medications and will be starting Remicade infusions next week. I'm on a high dose of Prednisone because I'm now in a flare. If you think you may have something else wrong you should call your Doctor....heck, I'd call anyway just to see and then you probably need more or different medication for inflammation. Pain in the feet and knee could very well be your RA. I have pain in the back of my knees. This is often caused by Baker's Cysts. I also have pain in the fornt of my knees, and sometimes the pains are of the sharp variety. I am old. LOL And...I have been around deep vein thrombosis. If you have deep pain throbosis, one of your legs is USUALLY bigger than the other from swelling. I had a blood clot in a superficial vein once, and it was painful and it was only one leg, etc. If you call your doctor, you will probably feel beter, and better safe than sorry.

JC - Sorry to hear you are experiencing all the aches and pains. I agree with the previous posts - you should call or see your doctor to have things checked out. But I too wake up with pains in my toes and feet. I understand it is tough when other things are happening and you don't know what is going on. Don't feel alone I too start googling when I have some "new" ache or pain. I do soak my feet in epsom salt and or green alcohol.. Also, I ice my feet. I use frozen bottes of water and while I am watching television I roll the water bottles under my feet. I don't know but when my feet are throbbing I also elevate them for about 10 minutes and that helps. Not any solutions but hopefully something will give you some relief. The best information usually comes from the doctor. Take care of yourself.

I agree with Hollandgirl. My Feet burn like crazy after I have stood on my Feet all day at work. he Ice Bottles is a great Idea, I,ll try them myself. You have to get checked by your Dr. To get the right Diagnosis. My Knees had the same problems to where I couldnt even bend them anymore. I had an Arthroscopic surgery done, where they clean out your knee. So get checked asap. So you can get the right meds. Good luck and let us know how its going.
