Hey Group
After 5 months (that WAS New Year's Eve right?) - treatment re-commenced. This time by infusion one every 2 weeks for 6 weeks to load first. Post surgery and plates and arguing with the neurosurgeon and trying to push the blue cross through (failed) re-start, arguing with the liver doctor about chewing nsaids, an assignment of a case manager and then the switch to the new insurance and then more prep-auths on the new plan,. And all this patience patience patience patience.
I don't know if I was bitchy during this time, if I was, mea culpa?
Oh! I brought myself a bouquet of Kale and set it on the IV contraption along with my lucky hat. This of course immediately meant that I was somewhat strange in the infusion room. I like to set the tone. I offered everyone kale...there were not a lot of takers...I found the green very soothing. Maybe this will start a trend.

Between the medical issues and the insurance nonsense it's been a long, cold winter. Straight to summer. (Next time, take the nurses cookies instead of kale. They'll like you better.)
yes you will get farther with the sugary stuff with the medical staff, they need it to counteract all they have to deal with. I've never seen as much consumption of that stuff than when I worked in hospitals.
Glad you're on the upswing.
Next time take Swiss Chard - it's the new Kale. Comes in a kaleidoscope of colors so you can match your hospital gown :)
But try chocolate covered kale next time :)
