this oral surgeon - any chance of a second opinion with another oral surgeon if you heal starts to unravel?
the three-fer thing seems a little brutal - you know fix your knee, break your teeth and get an infection and halt up on the highway with the ra meds.
are there a lot of people visiting? you need a calm 3 ring circus...you know to distract you but not make you laugh.
here's an empathy plug just for you: after the neck surgery I got pneumonia that needed oxygen at home and while that was happening they halted my dental implant crap which means I did not have a forward facing tooth. so I felt toothless, breathless and not on my RA meds. sometimes when it gets particularly crappy all you can do is laugh. i drank a lot of cold soup. i bet you are doing that also.
all the talk about about biologics not being possibly as effective as we would want turns to bullsh** as you go off them for a longish period of time and realize that you are further debilitated which erodes your spirit
what does the rheumatologist think - does she talk to the oral surgeon?

Mine had some osteoarthritis damage from 15 years ago, when I had TMJ and it damaged the joint.
I went to physiotherapy and he put it back on place over quite a few weeks.
However, last Sunday I was singing in church in the worship band and I knocked it out of place again.
I'm so tired of RA and med failures right now! And the pain! I get it!
Sending some virtual hugs and empathy your way!! ((((((Hugs))))))
All I can say is, hang in there. It will get better. You will get through this. I know it seems impossible right now, but it is possible. Sending love and hugs your way.
