When the dentist froze my tooth for the prep for the crown, it froze back to my jaw.I realized that my left jaw was not in pain, and my right one was. Just something I block out. Not a flare, just damage.
As far as prednisone for only 9 months on 5 mg, I wouldn't worry. i have been on and off prednisone for 20 years, for asthma first then RA, and my teeth are strong, and bones are good for an old lady. But my theory is to treat the disease, not the symptoms, if you can find something better than prednisone, then go for it. I swore it off for 6 years, but a med failure had me crawling back to it. Sigh.
The ER told me to follow up with my regular doc but my doc is an idiot. I think I should tell the rheumie not the PCP. IDK.
