It is all about quality of life. When I am on prednisone to get over flare,i can walk and I almost feel normal. In fact, I had forgotten what normal was. I was so busy taking care of my aches; it took up my whole day.
Ree, glad you are improving. As for the pred, the first time I had it for RA (after suffering for over a year), I broke down and cried because I had forgotten how it felt to feel good. People with good health just don't know how to appreciate it. Man, nothing lifts you like a day when you feel halfway decent.
