I Need Spoons

Anyone have a spoon they are not using. (Talking about the spoonie thing you dont look sick.com) Lol. Ugh I'm in a flare as bad as I hate taking prednisone and pain pills I'm begging for it! I have foot surgery next week on my right foot right hip is the worse of the two right now so I don't know how I'm gonna manage to lug around that surgical boot on my right leg. I can barely move my leg without that. Sorry to gripe AGAIN Blessings everyone.

Sorry kiddo. Don't have a spoon but if I did it would be yours! You may just have to sit around for a while. Gripe all you want. Trish

Watch out for spoon loan sharks! They'll want you to repay the spoons you borrow -- plus pay a high interest rate!

But seriously, hope that you're on the upswing soon and that you always have enough spoons every day.

I had a third degree sprain on my ankle during a height of a flare. Not a good combo. Ended up with screws being put in to reattach the tendon and was in a boot for a while too.

This is my long way of getting around of saying don't go for a spoon - go for something larger - like a knee scooter or a steerable knee walker! I rented one and it was worth every penny. ;-) Good luck on the surgery next week!

Sorry ypu are feeling so terrible! At least with foot surgery, you will get some stronger pain pills, and if you don't, ASK! There is no shame in taking them when you need one. You have my sympathy-and solidarity- I'm having a terrible, awful right hip and SI joint flare as well. Horrible pain.

Hi Kim sorry you aren't feeling well. Hope you feel better soon. I wish I could give a copy of the spoon story to everyone who thinks " they know" how we feel.
