I feel like a human buzzsaw!!!!!!

I know it has been a while since I have visited the website. However, I was just wondering if anyone else experiences very bad buzzing in the ears when they get tired and at night while sleeping. In addition, it goes along with pins and needles that will settle in an area of my body for a while and then travels to different parts of my body. My ears will roar so load and the pins and needles gets so strong that it wakes me up. As soon as I wake up, the roaring in my ears and the area with the pins and subsides in about 10 minutes. These pins and needles are all over my back and shoulders which makes my back ache all day. This used to be mostly in my hands and feet. This is scaring the life out of me and nobody can give me any answers. I think this is RA, but my Doctors does not think it is. Is this RA affecting my blood vessels, or could this be an allergic reaction??? I have been to many different kinds of doctors and nobody has an answer. I am at my wits end and hope someone out there has some suggestions.

I have RA but I don't have the buzzing in my ears. That doesn't mean others don't. I hope you find some answers and safe remedies :)

There isn't, that I could find, a correlation with buzzing and RA.......but certain NSAIDS have been known to list this as a POSSIBLE side effect.

Do you have fibromyalgia, too? I was reading a book yesterday, trying to figure out some fixes for mine, which is secondary to the RA, and that was listed as a symptom. And definitely NSAIDs.

I have never personally had this. Another possibility is hearing loss. My husband has lost his hearing and he has terrrible ringing in his ears. Apparently that is caused because the hairs in the ears which pick up sound do not register the sound properly, and instead produce a buzzing sound.

You have my sympathies! I cannot imagine living with that!

I have buzzing in my ears but not sure what is causing it but it comes and goes, not just at night. I do have hearing loss and my doctor said it was because of autoimmune. So don't know if that helps but I think I would go see a ears, nose and throat specialist if I was you and see what they might tell you. As for the buzzing/vibrating feeling in other parts of the body I have had that too. Sometimes my knees feel as if I have put my cell phone on my knees when is it vibrating. I have asked that question before here on the old website and others have commented on it too. So some of us do and some don't. I personally don't know what is causing it. No answer for that one. Hope you find some answers.

The symptoms you are describing are NOT in keeping with RA. Buzzing in the ears is TINTITUS, but also could be a side effect of NSAIDS.

As for tingling that is neurological.

Thank you everyone for your replies. Yes Marlene, I was also diagnosed with Fibromyalsia. Thank you Tilly. I will keep on going to find an answer. Warriorgal, you are confirming what my Doctor said. This could be an allergic reaction. I am also checking out this theory.

I thought I would give an update. It has been over 2 weeks now and this buzzsaw sounds and feelings are still there. There is also some numbing and tingling too throughout my body. However, it has concentrated in my back and chest. I have not taken any kind of asprin or NSAIDS products. This continues to keep me up at
night. Does anyone have any more ideas. Nobody seems to know what this is! I am very concerned this buzzing maybe going into my lungs.

    I've been on high dose prednisone for pneumonia, and now I am slowly weaning. But lots of symptoms I don't like having, plus overeating has put at least 10 lbs on me. The food is "loud" as the GLP-1 users refer to it.Also pressured speech. Which comes out in my posts. Sorry I posted so much. I just need an outlet for my agitated and irritable brain.
