Congrats on doing your first injection of Humira. Good luck! But as californialynn said, be patient - improvement is usually gradual and may take weeks.

On the other hand, in the past few days I be dealt with an uncle who died and a cousin who had a massive heart attack..u was explaining my absence to a neighbor......and he said, "Yeah, life is hard. My best friend was murdered last week."

Kind of puts things in perspective.

It will help. I had slight improvement after 4 days......it didn't last very long and the flare began to rebuild but after the second shot major improvement!! As previously stated, it's a game changer.

I've never been on Humira, but most of the other biologics. All except perhaps Kineret, which is a daily needle, works quickly, but also drops off quickly when you stop.

I hope it works soon, and works well.

I have been on both Humira and Enbrel. For me, Enbrel worked almost immediately. I noticed a huge difference the very next day. I told my doc that it was like my body was a sponge that just craved whatever was in it. I don't remember the Humira acting that quickly, but it did work. I think it's just a matter of what works best for each individual. I knew a guy who had RA and he swore by the IV transfusions he got of Remicade.

It has been 11 days and I am seeing improvement today. Seemed like a lifetime being well over 4 weeks in a flair.

Glad it is starting to work already. I know most biologics continue to improve the first while you are on them. So be patient!
