I'm always thankful when it's just one side. A bilateral flare usually happens when I've gotten weak willed and ate some chocolate. Guaranteed a pretty severe 2-day flare until the chocolate leaves my system.

I do find especially on the lower joints if one side hurts for a while the other side will surpass it eventually as I'm throwing my whole alignment off and compensating for the original disturbed joint.

Besides this everyday or two seems to be a gamble. It may be a foot, wrist, shoulder or whatever. It seems that I always have at least one joint wit hpain I cannot ignore and that affects functioning of that joint. Drives me crazy, makes me feel like a hypochondriac wit ha different complaint every day or so.
Nature of the beast I suppose.
Now the other side joins in. Much the same for me one side will start & the other soon follows.
When flared it all hurts. I notice more swelling on the right side for now.
Crazy you just never know from one day til the other what's going to hurt next.
