Well while I'm still getting over my knee I'm going on wed for a fluoroscope guided hip joint injection (it's going to be loads of fun who wants to come with me!! ) Lol. Dr says we may as well see if it's gonna work. If not we have to consider arthroscopy to see where pain is from. It's worse in my right hip but it does come on in my left hip too. And around the beginning of August if I can muster the courage I have to have surgery on my other knee (lest it get jealous)I feel that's how our bodies are. If my right wrist hurts the left one gets jealous and throws an even bigger tantrum. Blessings!!

I am supposed to have a guided shot in my back, in a couple weeks (hopefully), which I expect to be nearly as much fun as you are going to have! But while surgery may be needed at some point, I am hoping to hold it off for a while longer.
I must have jealous joints too, as first one wrist will hurt, and pretty soon the other one will too!
Anyway, hope that you shot helps with your pain, and you quickly recover from your surgery. Many hugs!

I had one before my arthroscopy in my hip last Oct. It's not as bad as it sounds and did help enough that I was able to walk around Disney when went on vacation about a month after the injection. Almost postponed surgery but wanted to do before year's end. Had a lot of damage enough that if had postponed much longer would have needed total hip and the surgery I had it was bad enough to be on crutches for 3 weeks with the munchkins can't tell you how many fights I had to break up with the crutches as it was

I'm nervous because Friday I start joint fluid replacement injections in my right knee. They use the ultrasound/flouroscope, or whatever it is to guide the needle to where the fluid goes. I'm nervous but I'm hoping it helps me and helps me postpone my total knee replacement. We can all comfort each other!!!!!!

I've had lots of shots in lots of places but never the hips. Those injections can sometimes make a world of difference and are certainly worth a try. You'll know fairly soon if it's helping to not. Good luck.

As I suspected it was loads of fun (NOT) !!but it's over and I held still for it. I'm supposed to be numb right now and for the rest of the day but I'm not and it is hurting. I've had many steroid shots too but the only time I can say they ever helped was in my big toe joint I hope I can add this to the list of helpful treatments.
