I am 24 years old and I have had this for about 5 years, The RA has spread to every joint of my body. I recently had to take a leave of absence for a year because wal-mart wrote me up for walking too slow and told me if i couldn't pick up my pace that i should look for another job and i have been there almost 6 years. I have been on methrotrexte, prixacam, and hydroclor i can't medicine names sorry and my pain meds are percoset 5/325 and morphine 30mg twice a day. Nothing is helping the only thing that helps is predisone and i gained 30 pounds off that which i just lost i got taken off that. I graduate in two weeks and that has been a long journey but i made it. My doctor wants me to do infusions but I can't afford them I can't get on mediciad til after i graduate they told me since i was a college student the only way to get assist was to work 20 hours a week which i can't do. Its gotten really there is a research study opening in july that is infusion and i qualify for that but i am dyring here with all this pain what do you guys do? Sorry if this is too long but its a built up rant because friends and family are tired of me complaining.

Maybe an increase in the Prednisone could tide you over until July. I am not in the US & don't know how the system works there so cannot help with subsidised medicine ?ns.
Also, where would we all be without DS & the opportunity to vent, ask questions, etc?

On the flip side, I would not be opposed to clinical trial, I know it's a risk, but you'll be watched so closely. Being a nurse and being on the professional side of clinical trials, the subjects are really like guiney pigs. If I were in your shoes I would give it serious consideration.
I was looking up prescription assistance and ran across this website for you. Scroll down to "Help with healthcare" and the sub-title: "Prescription drugs'. There may be something specific to assist you in Idaho, but there are also some that are for help in America.

Also..isn't what your work doing called discrimination? They should be required to work with your disability. Do they know you have RA?
