HI EVERYBODY thanks for all the prayers. the biopsy went good, painfull but needed. well its so nice to finally be home, Im looking forward to sleeping through the night again ! well, heres what we know so far...interstitual lung disease (ILD) according to the pulmonary team, they say this is all new to them on lung biopsy findings on this disease because it is believed to be from R.A. theres a professor from Baylor that was sent a piece of the biopsy and ct scans to get a second oppinion. we should know his findings monday or tuesday. the drs are saying theres no tratment but steriods help alot with the inflamation around the lungs and moving to other organs. does or has anyone here had this disease? what do you know about it? the internet is very scary about this disease and drs are very vague at this point. Well, I know ILD can be because of the RA, but it also could be because of the methotrexate. I had such a horrible reaction to MTX and I spent a lot of time digging up the bones to all the bad stuff it could cause.
Hopefully, there is a way to tell if the damage was MTX related or RA related. If, somehow it's MTX related, then maybe there won't be further damage and with medication it can improve. If it's RA related, then hopefully an agressive biologic will halt any further RA activity.
