I thought I had a great guy that was able to handle the RA pretty good but I was proven wrong today. He broke up with me because I am not ready to have kids at this point and I am not ready to move in with him at the moment. I don't want to go off my meds to have a baby we have only been together for three months so I am not ready to move in with him. He told me that he can't handle me any more with the RA he can't stand all the meds that I have to take he thinks I am addict. The funny thing is he can't even have kids because he is sterile. But he wants me to get off all my meds and go to clinic to get preganant. I am only 25 not ready for that yet and even if I wanted to have kids I am not physically strong enough to take care of myself most days let alone a child. I guess its just time to move on and know that there are better people out there I guess. The funny thing is I have been dating him 3 months and he has never even taken me to his house so he wants me to have kid with him but I can't go to his house? I live with my mom who sleeps during the day because she works graveyard so we don't spend time alone here but yet he wants a kid. Strange people out there I guess.

Reminds me of a jerk I knew in the past that took advantage of my mother and myself. He was renting a room in our house and refused to pay rent. My mom had RA too. Mother was looking for a tenant to help pay for any additional expenses as she was on disability at the time. So this guy decided to 'woo' me. Then we discovered he was having an affair with my brother's wife. Ugh...my skin is crawling right now...! :-(

Thank goodness you did the 'right' thing. Mr. Right will come along at the 'right' time for you when you are good and ready and able to handle everything.

And it is my opinion that this man is not for you and will only complicate your life. You need a man who will understand and accept with the disease and can not wait when you're ready and you can have a child then. I also had a similar relationship as a man who does not understand me at all and no regrets that dumped him. Now I found my soul mate and I very much because shtasliva understands and accepts me. Search for Related something and you like this character as I did. Good luck and hugs. Denka

Thanks everyone I was just frustrated I just couldn't believe that he was pushing so hard for a baby when I am in chronic pain and only 3 months into the relationship thats just crazy.

Which part is crazy?? The " I'm glad I just met you, let's have a kid " or the " I hear that your saying you hurt like hell most of the time, let's have a kid ( that cant come to my house, or I will prob not help with much) " or the " Your an addict, let's have a kid " ??? WTF??? Ummmmmmm, how do you spell " crack". I say, for what it's worth, consider yourself lucky you got out of dodge now, can you imagine being tied to him for the rest of your life?? Carry on woman, your better off, the right " he " will come along.

You have some really "on the nose" replies here and I agree with all... He was definitely using you.... he either had another gf or wife at home! Keep walking and don't look back! When meeting guys in the future listen to that lil voice in the back of your head!
